Beginner Photography:
Take a 6 week course, two hours a week, and get a handle on that new camera of yours.We start with the basics, and when we are finished, you’ll be able to troubleshoot your photos, and create better ones. The sky is the limit after that.

COST:  $129 plus HST (minimum 4 students)
Small class sizes, and a combination of theory and hands-on make beginning photographers really see the potential in themselves and in their equipment.  This is some of what they learn:

• How cameras work
• The importance of aperture and depth of field
• How to maximize shutter speed.
• ISO is your friend
• Composition basics
• Using flash

Intermediate Photography:
When requested, I put on a course for photographers who already know the basics, and who want to get improve their photography to the point where people will say “Wow, I’m hiring that guy!”  These courses are tailored around what the students already know, and where they need the most training.  Lots of studio time, lots of hands on learning.

Additional costs: Students have the option to experiment a manual film camera during the course, develop the film in a darkroom, and scan the negatives to the computer. It’s a real blast from the past, and great learning tool that gives students a better understanding of exposure, and real appreciation for composition. Cameras are provided and can be taken home, and films cost $7 each including development.
